Summer video series gives students a taste of VU recipes and the chefs that create them
Since the beginning of the summer, Vanderbilt Campus Dining has posted weekly cooking videos featuring Vanderbilt chefs on their Instagram and Facebook pages. These videos feature a variety of recipes from full dinners by Executive Chef, Jordan Rogers, to easy on-the-go snacks by Vanderbilt Campus Dining Dietitian, Emily Suttle, RD, LDN.
When asked about these videos, Rogers replied that he really enjoys this series. “I enjoy [the] cooking demo videos because it is a great way to pass on my knowledge and passion for all types of food,” he says.
In each video, viewers are introduced to the chef and told what dish they will be crafting. The intros are followed by a comprehensive grocery list for the whole recipe. Then, the chef walk through a step by step process on how to create each unique dish.
“I hope that the students learn some new recipes and cooking techniques and also that they get to know the chefs that are serving them across campus.” – Vanderbilt University Executive Chef Jordan Rogers
