Dining Options During Ramadan

Posted by on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in Uncategorized.

In partnership with the Muslim Students Association and the Center for Spiritual and Religious Life, Vanderbilt Campus Dining has developed a dining plan for students observing Ramadan, March 10-April 9.

Collaborating with MSA, the Campus Dining culinary team has crafted special dinner menus and grab-and-go Vandy Provisions based on recipes students requested.

First Week at Kissam

Because Ramadan begins during Vanderbilt’s Spring Break, dinner will be served at Kissam March 10-16.

Kissam will remain open until 8:00 p.m. each evening, featuring Iftar menu items. The Kissam Munchie Mart will also be open.

For a full list of daily menu offerings with nutrition and dietary information, visit vu.edu/menus.

Dinner at EBI

E. Bronson Ingram Dining Hall will serve hot-meal options during dinnertime March 17-April 9.

One station will be solely dedicated to an Iftar menu.

Ramadan dining at E. Bronson Ingram is open to all students, faculty, and staff. However, we ask that anyone who is not observing Ramadan be considerate of those who are, allowing them to get their food first.

For a full list of daily menu offerings with nutrition and dietary information, visit vu.edu/menus.

Munchie Marts

All Munchie Marts will feature fresh Vandy Provisions meals, including three special dishes for Ramadan:

  • Tomato, Spinach, & Egg Scrambler
  • Blueberry Overnight Oats
  • Chickpea & Veggie Bowl

Students can also find a variety of halal-friendly frozen meals at the markets. For a full list of Munchie Mart hours, please visit Campus Dining Locations.
