Campus Dining Honored as Leader in Retail Foodservice
Vanderbilt Campus Dining has been honored as a Leader in Retail Foodservice by The Foodservice at Retail Exchange (FARE). Winners of the award “balance culinary creativity with a greater business plan; exemplify the evolution and potential of foodservice at retail; and are already seen as leaders within their respective channels,” according to FARE’s website.
“We are honored to be recognized as a leader in retail foodservice, although our main focus is the VU Meal Plan for the Vanderbilt undergraduate student, we do operate as a retail foodservice serving the Vanderbilt community as a whole. It is a testament to how dedicated our entire team, at Campus Dining, is to the food we serve,” said Camp Howard, director of Campus Dining.
Other winners of the award were Nutrition and Food Services at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, Centerplate, and Wawa, according to FARE’s website.
FARE is an event held annually that “brings together the dynamic, fast-growing foodservice-at-retail industry,” according to their website. The event was held in Chicago June 18-20 this year.
