Campus Dining Announces Food Trucks on Campus

Posted by on Monday, March 2, 2020 in Culinary, Meal Plan.

Adding another option to the popular Taste of Nashville program, Campus Dining is pleased to announce the arrival of food trucks to campus after students return from Spring Break.  Available every Tuesday and Thursday from March 10 through the end of spring semester, 1-2 food trucks will serve patrons from 11:00am – 3:00pm in front of the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center, adjacent to Rand Dining Center.  While the final lineup is subject to change, the current list includes local favorites Yayos OMG, Puckett’s and Califarmia.  Sean Carroll, director of marketing and communications for Business Services, notes, “Bringing Food Trucks to campus was an idea championed by Vanderbilt Student Government (VSG) for some time now.  We’re excited to get this off the ground, and add yet another option for hungry students.”

Carroll notes that food trucks will accept Meal Money or Commodore Cash, but will not take cash or credit cards as payment.  Faculty and staff can participate as well, and will need to load their card with Commodore Cash through Card Services.
