Bongo Java sustainability event and coffee tasting April 19
With Earth Month in full swing, Campus Dining is proud to showcase its commitment to sustainability through its partnership with Bongo Java coffee. On April 19th, students, faculty and staff can join Bongo Java’s Acting General Manager and Director of Community Outreach Greg Crofton, in the 2301 Lounge in Rand Dining Center for an educational journey into the origins of Vanderbilt’s coffee blends and the sustainable practices behind Bongo Java. The event starts at 6:30pm.
Crofton will take attendees on a virtual trip to South America and Africa, highlighting the meticulous process of growing, harvesting, drying, and packaging Bongo’s organic coffee – from beans to brew. Guests of this community event will get a glimpse of the faces behind the coffee farms and learn about the fair and safe working practices Bongo Java puts in place for their farm partners.
In addition to showcasing Bongo Java’s commitment to sustainability, attendees will have the opportunity to taste Vanderbilt’s various coffee blends and appreciate the unique flavors that make each blend stand out. By supporting Bongo Java, Vanderbilt is not only providing a delicious coffee experience but also contributing to a more sustainable future. This event is free and open to all members of the Vanderbilt community. For more information on Bongo Java and their sustainable practices, visit their website here: https://www.bongojava.com/.
