Feeling Under the Weather?

Vanderbilt Campus Dining knows it can be rough getting sick while at school.  That’s why we offer Get Well Meals – food that’s easy on the stomach when you’re not feeling your best.  Too sick to pick it up yourself?  We’ll even allow a ‘sick buddy’ to pick it up for you.  Meals are deducted as a Munchie Meal Swipe, and you can use this service up to 5 times per semester.

Breakfast includes:

  • Original (Plain) Oatmeal
  • Banana
  • Tea Bag
  • Sports Beverage (Powerade)

Lunch/Dinner options include:

  • Chicken Noodle Soup (Vegan option available)
  • Saltine Crackers
  • Banana
  • Sports Beverage (Powerade)

To start your order, simply text “Vandysick” to 55744 on a mobile phone, or complete this online form.  Get Well Meal pickup locations are Commons Munchie Mart, Kissam Munchie Mart, and Branscomb Munchie Mart.

If you require urgent, please contact the Student Health Center at 615-322-2427.  For emergencies, dial 911, or go immediately to the emergency department.

If you think you have the common cold or flu, follow these tips:

  • Cover your cough – into your elbow, arm, or tissue
  • Wash your hands often – at least 30 seconds is recommended
  • Avoid close contact with others
  • Stay hydrated and get plenty or rest
  • Call a doctor if your symptoms persist

Getting a flu shot is the best way to prevent getting the flu.  Student Health offers flu shots M-F from 8:00am – 4:30pm, and no appointment is necessary.

Details: Please note that Get Well Meals are only available for on-campus undergraduate students currently enrolled in a meal plan.  Maximum 5 Get Well Meals per semester.  Get well meals will be considered a market meal swipe, and will be pulled the next business day between 2pm-3pm.
