Taste of Nashville Partner Application

Thank you for contacting Vanderbilt Campus Dining about the Taste of Nashville program, a feature of Vanderbilt Meal Plans. The program complements the Meal Plan by providing dining options to students off-campus through restaurants that are located within a ten-minute walk from the closest part of the campus.

Prospective restaurants’ primary business must be food service. Menu style, service type, and price point will be considered as well as a history of satisfactory Metro Health inspection scores.

Vanderbilt Campus Dining utilizes a third-party transaction service that is under contract with the university. Over 90% of meal plan customers are Vanderbilt undergraduate students.

The Commodore Card is not to be confused with a credit card, debit card, or any other commercial payment method. The Commodore Card is the property of Vanderbilt University and is in the form of a physical university identification card or mobile credential (on Android or iOS device) which can be tapped or swiped to initiate a transaction. It must be used in accordance with the rules and guidelines set forth in the Vanderbilt Student Code of Conduct. Restaurants are strictly forbidden from selling gift cards using the Commodore Card.

Vanderbilt Campus Dining may add restaurants on a highly selective basis for the purpose of enhancing the student experience. From time to time, restaurants are removed from the program due to low utilization or non-compliance with guidelines in the agreement restaurants sign.
