Campus Dining student employment incentives
In an effort to support staffing needs across its network of 18 dining halls, markets, and cafes, Vanderbilt Campus Dining is pleased to announce a series of new initiatives to drive increased student employment.
In support of these efforts, the following changes will be implemented for both current and prospective student employees.
- Wage Increase: All undergraduate student workers will receive a pay increase from $12 to $13 an hour beginning Sunday, October 3rd.
- Employment Referral: Any current student employee who refers another student to apply to work with Campus Dining will receive $20 in meal money. Students will receive the meal money once the referral: 1) officially accepts the position; 2) completes all new hire paperwork; and 3) begins working.
- Student Employee of the Month Program: Campus Dining leadership will nominate a “Student Employee of the Month” at each location based on the following criteria: positive attitude, punctuality, and above-and-beyond work results. An overall winner will be selected on the last business day of the month and announced on social media, and will receive $20 in meal money. This program will begin in October.
Vanderbilt Campus Dining employs both undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of roles. With flexible scheduling, on-the-job training, and a great working environment, Campus Dining is a great choice for many students seeking part-time employment.
