Campus Dining celebrates Black History Month
Vanderbilt Campus Dining is proud to help celebrate Black History Month, acknowledging the impact and history of Black members of our community. In support of Vanderbilt’s broader Black History Month events, Campus Dining is hosting its own series of events, each with focus on Black chefs, cooks, and local restauranteurs.
The first event will be held Friday, February 4, at Rand Dining Center. Kenyatta Pumphrey of the campus favorite Chicken Shack Express food truck will be serving lunch at the Chef James Bistro station from 11am until supplies last. This ‘station takeover’ is the first in a series of events planned for dining locations across campus, highlighting Black-owned businesses and culinary talent. Meal swipes will be accepted, and lunch includes an entrée, two sides, and beverage.
