Service Update – Wednesday, February 17
WINTER WEATHER SERVICE UPDATE
Due to the winter weather event impacting travel in the greater Nashville area, Campus Dining is operating with a modified schedule. On Wednesday, February 17, the following dining locations remain closed:
- E. Bronson Ingram
- Kissam Kitchen
- 2301
- Zeppos
- McTyeire
- Hendrix
- Local Java
- Grins Vegetarian Cafe
- Blair PickupSpot
GET / dining hall Express pre-order service will not be available today.
Branscomb, Highland, and Kissam Munchie Marts are open 7:30am – 10:00pm. Commons Munchie Mart is open 7:30pm – 10:00pm. Rand and Commons will open for continuous service from 7:30am until 7:30pm. Allergen OrderIT meal service and Quarantine/Isolation Meal delivery will continue to operate today.
Both Suzie’s Alumni Hall and Stevenson Library locations, along with Holy Smokes Kosher food truck, will be open.
Based on current traffic patterns, demand at Commons is high during peak meal times (11:45pm – 12:30pm, and 5:00pm – 7:00pm). To minimize trips and reduce potential wait times, Campus Dining recommends the following to ensure a hassle-free dining experience this week:
- It is recommended that students take advantage of multiple meal swipes at non-peak times in dining halls; microwaveable plastic containers are available upon request.
- Munchie Marts are great alternative to dining halls, and most are open 7:30am -10:00pm. To avoid limited late-night available pickup slots, students should consider visiting Munchie Marts earlier in the day, in order to stock up for evening meals.
To cater to non-peak diners, Rand Dining is offering a ‘Happy Hour’ between 3:00pm – 5:00pm, featuring burgers (regular and vegan) and fries, and a walk-up pasta station will open at 4:30pm. In addition, Rand will feature Pho alongside Fresh Mex and Chef’s Table as walk-up lunch options. At Commons, popular Magnolia & Co. sandwiches will be available for walk-up customers from 3:00pm – 5:00pm, in addition to other dinner options.
As a reminder, Rand Express and Commons Express GET pre-ordering is not available until normal service is resumed.
